CUSTOM MENU THEME FOR SD2SNES FIRMWARE VERSION 1.10.3 BY BMF54123 (https://twitter.com/bmf54123) NOTE: Starting with version 1.10.0, theme packages now include both menu.bin (for the original sd2snes) and m3nu.bin (for the new Mk.III/Pro). Just copy both files to your SD card and the cart will choose the appropriate version automatically. INSTRUCTIONS ------------ - MAKE SURE your current firmware version matches the one shown at the top of this file. You can download the latest firmware from https://sd2snes.de/blog/downloads/ - Extract the included .bin files to the sd2snes folder on your SD card (overwrite the original files). - Done! FOR ADVANCED USERS ------------------ If you'd like to change the menu colors, or apply this theme to a different firmware version, you can use the included logo.png and settings.txt with dotsarecool's sd2snes menu customizer (http://www.dotsarecool.com/sd2snesimg/). A few notes: - For optimum quality, the logo image has been pre-processed to contain 213 or fewer colors and SNES-compatible 15-bit RGB values. Make sure "Force reindexing" is UNCHECKED in the customizer before you upload your image or you may get poor results! - The customizer currently does not support importing color settings from a file, so you'll need to enter everything in settings.txt manually. Sorry. - The "Background Gradient Color (Top/Bottom)" fields must always be set, even when manual background edit mode is enabled. These are used to generate the colors for anti-aliased text edges. You can disable this anti-aliasing and get sharper text by checking the "Anti-alias Text?" box in the customizer (yes, the setting appears to be backwards). - The red and orange text colors don't seem to be used anywhere and can possibly be omitted. However, I DO set these values in my themes, just in case. SPECIAL THANKS -------------- - ikari_01 (@orzvektor) for creating the sd2snes - dotsarecool (@dotsarecool) for creating the sd2snes menu customizer - Xkeeper (@xkeepah) for moral and technological support (and pineapples) - Chris Collette (@NewsFedora) for being ridiculously supportive - ...AND YOU Enjoy! :)
