Well, here's my Super Mario 3 hack. Starring Wario & Waluigi. No one ever made a SMB3 hack with these guys so I decided to do it. I plan to make this hack challenging, but not impossible to pass.

Here's some eye candy for you guys...

Hey, I'm flattered. .

I'm all for a good challenge, and for the most part, it was a very good challenge. But I think raining hammers is just cheap (sorry, I know you said not to bitch), especially when it's in world 1. 1-3 is save-state city. I mean, 1-fort is very tough, but in a cool way because you can at least see everything in front of you.

The clouds in 1-4 look a little too standable on. I think they'd be better suited for the cloudy graphic set.

Haven't finished 1-5 yet; I love races against p-switch (or star) time, but it has that raining hammer issue again.

Overall, the level design is pretty nice. I don't mind you using some of my graphics (which I made in 2000), but I would appreciate being credited. Especially with that underground set, which took forever to draw. It's just that in case you finish yours first, I don't want people to play mine after I'm done, and say "hey, you stole those gfx from Googie!", y'know.

Actually, isn't that just a rip from Super Mario World?

Hey! That tickles!

If you ripped graphics out of a SNES game directly into an NES game, wouldn't it look like crap? I mean, obviously the graphics are very much inspired by SMW, but it was much more than just a cut & paste operation; I had to use my abilities to recreate them in a four-color mode.

(oh my god, I didn't even notice they guy who posted this hasn't even been here in like 2 months...)

Forty Six: Sorry, I had no idea you made those gfx, I thought that was a dead hack I found on a ROM site. I found that ROM from a ROM site years ago when I got my 2nd. PC back in 2001, I'm on my third PC now. No hard feelins fella, I also ripped gfx from those old peach SMB3 hacks, since those hacks are dead too. I also ripped the gfx from Kirby's block ball for Gameboy (pic 1 and pic 6) I wouldn't even notice the difference in your gfx change since I don't really hack SMW like that.

I haven't even touched this hack since the demo. I'm still trying to understand pointers in this game.

I promise you'll get the credit you deserve, Scouts honor.

I'm glad you like the challenges, yeah 1-3 is a royal pain, even for me. When I get back to the hack I'll change the cloud in 1-4. I found some nice cloud gfx I think from Tiny Toons or sumthin like that.

As for me finishing my SMB3 hack first, it ain't gonna happen. I have a few projects in front of me right now, and Wario 3 is not a high priority right now.

Shane -26-: I don't know if you were around Acmlm's when I released 4 ROM hacks. On my board in ROM hacking, go the my Googie's work in progress thread, you'll see the projects I'm working on there.

BMF: I had no idea that you have a SMW hacking forum now, I'll know where to come now for anything SMW related. I only hacked Yoshi's Island 1 and changed some text. I still play your SMO demo to this day, I really enjoy it that much.
